摘要
The maximum spreading length of liquid film is one of the important aspects in dynamic behaviors of droplets after impacting on cylindrical surfaces. In this paper, based on the energy conversation principle, the change of kinetic energy, gravitational potential energy and surface energy before and after the droplet impacting on cylindrical surface, and the viscous dissipation during the droplet spreading process, are considered to build the theoretical analysis model to find the relationship of maximum spreading lengths in circumferential and axial directions. Combined with an empirical formula of the maximum axial length of liquid film obtained from experimental data in related reference, the maximum circumferential length is acquired. At last, the solved maximum circumferential length is compared with that from the experimental measurement, finding that the deviation is within the range of 7% and the reliability of the theoretical analysis model is verified. © 2021, Science Press.
