摘要
In this paper, Lambert W function was introduced to decouple the voltage and the current of the photovoltaic (PV) cells, then explicit functions of the voltage or current of a PV cell, cell string, PV module, and PV string were derived respectively. On this basis, a fast modeling approach was proposed based on PV strings curves superposition by linear interpolation for the PV array, and the PV array model was established under partial shading conditions, which avoids the problem of complex calculation and time-consuming of traditional modeling methods. The experimental results have confirmed that the modeling approach is correct and effective. Furthermore, the model was used for studying the power peaks characteristics of the PV string and the PV array under partial shading conditions. The expressions of power peaks are then derived to calculate the voltage, current, and power, which are also verified by simulation and experimental results. © 2021, Electrical Technology Press Co.
