摘要
Photovoltaic (PV) panels are seldom installed in the edge zones along the eaves and ridges of roof, because very large suctions are induced in such zones. The present paper investigates the wind loads on PV panels installed over the whole roof, including the edge zones, of a square roof in a wind tunnel. In the present study, we propose to install PV panels with small gaps between them, which may reduce the net wind forces on the PV panels due to pressure equalization. The external pressures on the roofing may also be reduced significantly. © 2021 Architectural Institute of Japan. All rights reserved.
