Using L-Lactide (L-LA) and Ε-caprolactone (Ε-CL) as raw materials; three kinds of poly (lactide caprolactone) copolymers (PLCL) with different proportions were prepared by screw extrusion. The results of hydrogen NMR and infrared spectroscopy show that the structure of PLCL is consistent with that of the theoretical products. The molecular weight of PLCL with three different proportions is more than 10000. The results of tensile properties and contact angle measurement show that the material is strong; hydrophilic and has good mechanical properties; and can meet the application requirements by comparing with existing non- degradable orthopedic materials. The results of thermal analysis and degradation experiments show that the thermal stability of PLCL decreases and degradation rate increases with the increase of L-lactide content. The cytotoxicity study shows that the survival rate of the three materials is more than 100%; and they have a certain proliferation effect; which shows their application prospect in orthopedic materials. © 2024 Sichuan University.
