The American Forest & Paper Association's report on total containerboard inventories (combining mills and box plants) is discussed. According to the reports, total containerboard inventories went from 2.601.4 million tons at the end of August 2002 to 2.734.7 million tons at the end of September 2002. Linerboard inventories at mills are found to rose 1 % between the end of August 2002 and the end of September 2002.
