A lot of experimental data on the electric conductivity of alkali-silicate glasses with various contents of alkali metal oxide obtained by different authors was analyzed. It is established that, for nonliquated glasses, the dependence of electric conductivity on the alkali metal oxide content can be best expressed by its dependence on the mean distance between alkali metal cations.
