Study of the casting mold filling upon billet casting of uranium

A procedure for computing a pouring head system is created and examined experimentally. It enables to determine the parameters of system for simultaneous filling the ingot and specimen-companion. The pouring head system with the adequate filling the said molds makes it possible certification of uranium ingots with the help of specimens-companions. The statistical insignificance of divergences in the computed and experimental values of content of the alloying and impurity components in the ingots and in all zones of specimens-companions is noted.
