摘要
This paper is focused on the measurement of laminar flame propagation velocity of premixed CH4 with air under two kinds of conditions through the counter-flow experimental system. one is with steam catalytic reforming reactions; the an other is not. According to the experimental results, the flame propagation velocity with steam catalytic reforming reaction is much higher and the limits of flame propagation are expanded a lot because of the addition of H2, which is engendered from catalytic reactions and has higher diffusivity and combustion heat quantity. The experimental results and comparison of data prove that the catalytic reforming reactions both improve the combustion of hydrocarbons and expand the flame propagation limits.
