Mathematical models are developed for evaluating ring structures reliability in SDH-networks. The network and two-point reliabilities are used for evaluation of fault-resistant ring structures of a SDH-network. The calculations show that the ring structures SNCP have slightly better reliability characteristics as compared with the type MS SPRing rings but require considerably greater expenses of the reserve capacity.
