摘要
This article presents the development and evaluation of an algorithm for the compression of fetal electrocardiographic signals, taken superficially on the maternal abdomen. This process produces a large volume of information that makes it difficult to store and / or transmit. The proposed algorithm seeks a lossless compression of the signal, applying Wavelet Packet Transform in order to maintain an error below the unit, with compression ratios higher than 20: 1 and with the energy conserved in the reconstruction as a comparison parameter. For the validation of the algorithm, use is made of the signal files provided in the PhysioBank DataBase. © 2018 Centro de Informacion Tecnologica. All Rights Reserved.
