摘要
The development of prognostics and health management (PHM) torque and alignment hardware for the lift fan shaft monitor of the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 Program is discussed. The PHM hardware, a flight safety component sends torque information about the fan shaft to the full authority digital engine control. The PHM monitor health by gathering and pre-processing sensor data including torque, shaft alignment and temperature. It is also used for predictive and preventive LiftFan shaft/coupling maintenance. The PHM also provides state-of-the-art design, integration simplicity, minimal shaft, low cost of ownership and streamlined system to reduce complexity and weight.
