Status and Prospect for the Coupling Development of Modern Coal Chemical Industry with Green Electricity and Green Hydrogen

The coupling development of modern coal chemical industry with green electricity and green hydrogen can promote coal chemical industry to greatly reduce carbon emission at the source; meanwhile, it can also provide large application scenarios for green electricity and green hydrogen, and is a key path for China to achieve dual carbon targets as scheduled. At present, the coupling development of modern coal chemical industry with green electricity and green hydrogen is still in the stage of R&D and industrialization demonstration. To promote the demonstration of related industries, and develop industrial and economic advantages as soon as possible, this paper introduces the current development status of modern coal chemical industry, green electricity and green hydrogen industry, analyzes the necessity, development potential and existing problems during their coupling development, and puts forward reasonable suggestions on coupling development. © 2022 Science Press.
