摘要
A new image fusion algorithm based on perceptual color space is proposed to fuse the infrared and visible images. Firstly a function between infrared image and perceptual color characters is established. Then based on the edge information of the visible image, the intensity component is modified by fusion. At last, the fusion image is created by the inverse IHS transform. Experimental comparisons show that the proposed algorithm is valid to fuse the infrared and visible images and the fusion image with good visual effects can reserve the background information and stand out the target.
