摘要
Linear permanent-magnet vernier (LPMV) motors offer high efficiency, low cost and high force density, suitable for long stroke applications. However, they suffer from relatively low power factor. Therefore, this paper proposed a unity power factor direct thrust force control strategy for open winding LPMV motors based on a floating capacitor. A new unity power factor modulation strategy was proposed to decouple the power flow required by the motor. The reactive power pressure of the main inverter was reduced and the LPMV motor operated at unity power factor mode. Moreover, a new direct thrust force control strategy combined with space vector modulation was adopted, so that a fixed switching frequency and a low thrust ripple could be obtained. Simulation and experimental results verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2019 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.
