Modeling of Complex Irregular Guiding Structures with Inhomogeneous Absorbing Filling

The finite element method is applied to the analysis of natural electromagnetic characteristics and eigenfunctions of electromagnetic fields in the cross-section of a rectangular waveguide with a T-shaped ridge and an absorbing insert. Using an assessment criterion for the attenuation constant and the frequency characteristics of this transmission line, microwave absorbing waveguide devices with uniform volumetric heat generation are synthesized.
