摘要
The award-winning Aston Hall Farm project which established a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) model for the non-treatment landholdings of Severn Trent Water (STW) is described. The project transformed the site into a floodplain grazing marsh; the bird population and diversity in species increased dramatically; and parts of the River Trent margins have been restored. The project engaged farmers and and wildlife organizations in the agri-environmental approach, through specialist training events. The project improved public access and provided walks and interpretive materials for visitors from the local community.
