摘要
In order to determine the influence of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) on the mechanical properties of the Al-4%Mg-0.5% Ce alloy, the hardness and tensile properties at different strain rates and testing temperatures were investigated for the Al-4% Mg-0.5% Ce alloys subjected to ECAP with various routes and passes. In addition, the morphology of the tensile fracture surfaces was observed using scanning electron microscope. The experimental results reveal that equal channel angular pressing can increase the hardness of the Al-4% Mg-0.5% Ce alloy from HB44 to HB51.3. The elongation to failure and yield strength of the ECAPed Al-4% Mg-0.5% Ce alloys at different strain rate and testing temperatures is mainly dependent on the pressing route and pass. The Al-4% Mg-0.5%Ce alloys subjected to ECAP with different routes and passes exhibits the typical ductile fracture feature under tensile loading condition, and possess the excellent plasticity.
