摘要
The supply networks of electric power and data can be realized by studying the intrinsic conductivity of polymer materials and the HV semiconductive power devices. The energy cable can then be produced by a simple triple-extrusion process that will reduce costs and physical dimensions. A 20 kV dc cable with integrated optical fibers can supply all electrical and electronic equipment with sufficient power. The energy is transported by a triple extruded polymer layer system in the cable. The capacitance of the cable is good for network stabilization. The advantages of the energy cable technology is discussed.
