U.S. export OCC to Asia falls off $12/ton from New York, $17/ton from California

China's demand for US export old corrugated containers (OCC) dropped a bit and combined with a rise in freight rates led to $12/ton and $17/ton drops on average in US OCC export prices from New York and California respectively. Mills in China purchased US OCC in the fourth quarter and into January. The increase in New York was $10-15/ton while in California it was between $0/ton and $25/ton.
