摘要
A review on the research and development of electronic and optoelectronic materials in China was presented, including the main scientific activities in this field. The state-of-the-art and prospect of the electronic and optoelectronic materials in China were introduced, such as those of silicon crystals, compound semiconductors and synthetic crystals, especially nonlinear optical crystals and rare-earth permanent magnet materials. The Chinese scientist's contribution to the frontier areas of nanomaterials and nanostructures in the past few years was introduced. A new concept known as tip chemistry proposed by Dr. Liu Zhongfan from Peking Univ. was described. The possible research grants and the national policy to support the scientific research were discussed.
