摘要：
Electrical transport properties and the elastic constants of single-crystal Gd and Gd-Y were measured and analysed. The ultrasonic velocity along specified crystallographic directions in the single crystals was measured. It was found that there were clear features in the elastic constant and in the temperature derivative of the a-axis resistivity at the accepted spin-reorientation and at the accepted ferromagnetic Curie temperature.
