Novel variable step-size LMS algorithm based on Tansig function

摘要
The Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm presented by Windrow and Huff has been widely used in the field of adaptive signal processing, but the problem is that its convergence speed and steady state error can't achieve the best performance at the same time. In the paper, a novel nonlinear variable step-size adaptive filtering algorithm is presented based on the Tansig function, and the auto correlation of e(n)e(n-1) is used to adjust the step-size. The new variable step-size LMS algorithm has the good properties of fast convergence speed and a small steady state error, and it also has good robust performance in processing the non-correlative noise. © 2008 by Binary Information Press.
