摘要：
Shortage of traditional raw materials utilized in blast furnaces is observed. In connection with this, titanomagnetite ore should be utilized. This makes it possible to produce cast iron for steelmaking and to manufacture titanium. Titanomagnetite ore contain vanadium. Vanadium can be used as the alloying element. Vanadium is also extracted for manufacturing the catalysts. Consumption of vanadium compounds in Ural region are 20,000 - 25,000 tons per year. Consumption of vanadium compounds in all Russia is more. Complex for producing the vanadium has been created. Preparation of the ore, slag production, and vanadium extraction from the slag are provided.
