摘要
A textured composite of 10%vol Ti2AlC reinforced magnesium composite was firstly fabricated through stir casting technique followed by hot extrusion method. Ti2AlC particles were reoriented with their basal plane parallel to the extrusion axis. Mechanical and physical properties were investigated in both textured magnesium alloy and 10%vol Ti2AlC reinforced magnesium alloy. The results provide evidence of anisotropic mechanical and physical properties regulated by the Ti2AlC arrangement in the matrix. Tensile fracture surfaces reveal clear delamination of Ti2AlC particles along the direction perpendicular to extrusion axis, while decohesion occurred at the interface between Ti2AlC and the matrix along the extrusion axis. © 2017 Elsevier B.V.
