Improvement in service life of rubber-coated rollers

Process of pickling the strip has been considered. Rubber-coated rollers are used in the process. Similar rollers are also used in processes of applying the zinc-aluminum and tin coatings on the strips. Quality of the products is dependent on operation of the rollers. Service life of them has been insufficient. Non-vulcanized rubbers of IXb-10 and IXd-35 types have been applied. Results of investigations have shown that improvement in service life of the rollers is provided in case of utilizing the silicon rubbers. Vulcanization of the rubbers is performed. Their physical and mechanical properties have been presented.
