摘要
A general method to study spontaneous emission in a dielectric microcavity is presented. In particular, this approach is based on linear-response theory and the coupled-dipole method. As such, the given approach can be used to describe the dynamics of a source in an arbitrary microcavity as long as the weak-coupling condition is satisfied and the element of the coupled-dipole method (CDM) are small enough for the dipole approximation to apply.
