Due to increasing complexity of products and higher individuality of customer requirements companies are required to maintain a higher level of flexibility, especially in the purchasing department. This is often accompanied by the integration of new suppliers. How exactly can a prompt incorporation and an automated and a real-time capable communication be realized? These and similar questions are addressed by Researchers as well as representatives of the industry at the Campus Cluster Logistics in Aachen. © 2014, Carl Hanser Verlag, München.
