摘要
Valeo demonstrates the high efficiency of crash boxes filled with Cymat aluminium foam under Danner frontal impact conditions. Live test results correlated by extensive simulation work provide evidence of the very high absorption capacity of this novel concept. The 16 km/h crash test is easily passed, leaving enough spare space that can be used to shorten yet further car overhang in ever more compact cars. © Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden 2002.
