A new method of fault signal processing in power systems based on half-wavelet transforms

摘要
In this paper, half-wavelet functions and related half-wavelet transforms are presented. Half-wavelet functions have good time-domain characteristics. In fault signal processing, the algorithm speed based on half-wavelet transforms is as twice as original wavelet transforms. Moreover, by using half-wavelet transforms, some fault signals in power systems are analyzed. By comparison, it is shown that half-wavelet transform is an effective as well as fast method in signal analysis by means of wavelet transforms, and so it is of important social and economic fruits in the way of heightening operation level of power system and improving power quality.
