摘要
The molecular interaction volume model was applied to analytically calculate the separation of tin-zinc alloy by vacuum distillation. The theoretically calculated and experimentally measured results were compared and analyzed. We found that the measured data agreed pretty well with the predicted activities of tin and zinc in the tin-zinc alloy. For example, vacuum distillated at 1073 K, 15 Pa for 100 min, the contents of tin in vapor and liquid phases were calculated to be 0.00001% (mass fraction) and 90%, respectively, indicating that it is feasible to completely separate tin from the tin-zinc alloy by vacuum distillation. The contents of gaseous phased and liquid phased tin were measured to be 0.002% and 90%, respectively.
