摘要
A new Launch and Recovery System (L&RS), using a hydraulic drive system, is developed for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute's (RNLI) new class of all-weather lifeboat, in a bid to ensure safety to lifeboat crews. The system, developed by Supacat, has successfully undergone a two year trails program, completed during the winter 2007/2008. The newly developed L&RS comprises a completely distinct submersible tractor and powered-carriage combination, for which Bosch Rexroth is selected to supply the hydraulic drive system to the individually powered tracks. Supacat's close co-operation with the RNLI engineering team and operators is an important factor in developing the launch and recovery system L&RS. Supacat's L&RS can be configured for remote or demanding sea terrains, such as carrying oil and gas pipeline equipment across snowfields.
