Modern stage in development of economics in Russian Federation is characterized by growth of production in iron and steel industry. This is connected with development of domestic market in the country. Increase in demand for steel products is noted. However, violations of terms of natural gas and energy supply are observed. This leads to difficulties in production activity at the 'Magnitogorskij' metallurgical plant. In connection with this, energy-saving technologies are implemented. Energy generation is provided by means of utilization of the secondary resources. The company's electric power stations are modernized.
