摘要
In processing donated blood, the first stage usually involves separation of the corpuscles from the remaining fluid (plasma), which is then subjected to further purification. For this, hollow fibre membranes of specified pore dimensions, can be used. Aqueous methods for forming these pores cannot be used, on account of the resulting residual water. Using LP plasma, e.g at pressures of 0.5 mbar, it is possible to treat even very long fibres with internal diameter of ca. 250 μm and wall strength of ca. 40 μm to achieve the desired result.
