Occupational morbidity and traumatism in coal mining industry of Kouzbass

The causes of the high level of occupational diseases and traumatism of workers in Kemerovo region are analyzed over 1992-2001 years. It is found out that the coal industry gives the main contribution into the occupational morbidity (75.5%) and the traumatism (70%) in the region. Such situation is connected with the low level of mine mechanization and hazardous working conditions. The decision of the problem of the occupational traumatism in the coal industry is possible only by modernization of mining technology and implementation of modern systems of industrial safety. The prognosis for oncoming 10-15 years is proposed.
