Sevoflurane is a volatile anesthetic commonly used for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia. We present the case of a 34-year-old woman in whom generalized periodic epileptiform discharges developed during induction of anesthesia with sevoflurane. Although sevoflurane anesthesia can be associated with the development of epileptiform discharges, the clinical relevance of this is unclear.
