Dr. Rob Reilly invited Boston Section researchers with interests in neural networks and computational intelligence to his Lab at MIT to organize the Boston Chapter. In 2004 Rob assumed more responsibilities with IEEE, and nominated Leonid Perlovsky to replace him. Chapter members participate in IEEE Tutorial series regularly conducted by Boston Section each Spring and Fall. Since the beginning of the Chapter, beginning, the member's activity has significantly multiplied so that individual contributions, even conferences and Editorships cannot be listed in a short art. Dr. Perlovsky received IEEE 'Boston Section Distinguished Member' Award, John Mc-Lucas Award, the top Air Force award for basic science, Gabor Award, the top engineering award from INNS. Dr. Streit received a prestigious award from Navy, Contribution to Science and Technology Award, and Solberg Award from the American Society of Naval Engineers.
