Japanese chemical industry is seeking to meet the new competitive challenges in the changing global environment. Japanese companies are not comfortable making major commitments in China due to lack of industrial infrastructure such as adequate railways. Japanese firms are planning to increase its technological strength, expanding the number of facilities abroad and grow globally.
