M-real sells Albbruck stake to Myllykoski

M-real is selling 50% of its stake in MD Papier's Albbruck mill to Myllykoski by the end of June 2002. M-real is selling the stakes as it believes that Albbruck does not fit into their plans of expanding publishing business. Albbruck mill produces 70,000 tonnes/yr lightweight coated paper (LWC) on PM 5 and 12,000 tonnes/yr medium weight coated paper (MWC) and LWC on PM 6 and 110,000 tonnes/yr of LWC and MWC on PM 7. M-real is also upgrading its Kyro mill in Finland by installing two head-boxes and automation system and rebuilding the coating sections. This will increase the wallpaper capacity to 100,000 tonnes/yr.
