Georgia-Pacific (G-P) plans to indefinitely idle one tissue machine at its East Mill in Green Bay, Wis. The No. 7 machine, which has a capacity to produce 105 tpd, will be shut down on May 26, 2003. Meanwhile, Cascades Inc. restarted its Mechanicville, NY, tissue mill after successfully negotiating more favorable utility rates.
