摘要
Seamless mobility is now a key requirement for wireless communication systems and users are day after day thirstier of high speed connections. For indoor communication, WLAN has become the most common technology. In this paper we introduce a composite trigger for intra-system handover which can take into account not only signal strength but also access point load and expected throughput. Simulation results show that the proposed metric provides gains in term of delays and system overall throughput in various scenarios. © International Federation for Information Processing 2008.
