A new circuit of soft-switching inductive power transfer system

To reduce switching loss and reduce system size, a novel soft-switching circuit of inductively coupled power transfer system is proposed. The primary inverter has only one transistor to control charge and resonance of the primary windings and transistor change from on to off or from off to on are all under zero-voltage conditions. Taking the secondary series-capacitor-compensation topology as an example, parameter relationships are accurately analyzed using loosely-coupled-transformer model and differential equations, nonlinear programming (NLP) model is established, and a fast non-dominated elitist strategy multi-objective genetic algorithm (GA) is adopted to optimize NLP parameters. In order to improve algorithm performance, the old way of producing initial population is modified by using cat map chaotic model to obtain more uniform distribution initial population. Simulation and experimental results using the optimized parameters show that: switches are in stable soft-switching state, system parameters have achieved the optimal configuration, and all resonant waves perform well with stable frequency. The circuit proposed and the modified algorithm are feasible and effective.
