An overview is given on the results of some research conducted over the past two years on differential pressure (DP) transmitters. Included is an extensive analysis of the worldwide new-technology and DP flowmeter markets and a worldwide survey of flowmeter users. It is shown why customers are switching to new-technology meters, and why some choose to stick with DP meters.
