摘要
Nanopowders of the BCxN ternary graphite-like phases (x=1.28 and 2.14) as well as a mixture of turbostratic BN and C (BN:C=2:1) were exposed to high-temperature shock compression followed by rapid quenching of samples. Residual graphite -like phases were removed by dissolving in alkali-nitrate melts and then in concentrated HClO4. As a result of shock-wave and chemical treatment, the composition of diamond-like phases in both the BCxN samples changed to BCN due to the phase segregation and subsequent removal of the excessive (with respect to the BCN stoichiometry) carbon by chemical treatment. From precision measurements of the lattice parameter and analysis of the line profiles, it has been concluded that synthesized diamond-like phases are BN-C substitutional solid solutions. By contrast, the similar p,T-treatment of a mechanical mixture of carbon and BN resulted in a formation of a mixture of cubic BN and diamond.
