Georgia-Pacific has sold a 60% stake in its Unisource World wide paper distribution unit to Bain Capital Inc, a private investment firm based in Boston. The deal is expected to close during the fourth quarter. G-P has had the distribution business for sale since last year, after it sold most of its white paper business and four paper mills to Domtar.
