Conventional value stream mapping shows weaknesses in terms of efficiency and reliability and is currently only rarely supported by digital tools. The digitalization of value stream mapping and a simultaneous integration of sustainability aspects can create added value for manufacturing companies by making value stream mapping more efficient and increasing the available information. This article presents a concept for sustainability-focused digital value stream mapping. © 2021 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
