A complete production line for the research and development of body size articles is operating at Bayer Faser GmbH in Dormagen for seamless knitting. The production line includes Santoni machine with a 13-inch diameter and E 28 gauge; a Heliot autoclave, and a Colorcombi dyeing machine from Proll & Lohmann. The company have made various developments with diverse yarn combinations and stored the data in the databases fro reproduction. Bare Dorlastan is plated and used as a combination yarn with recommendations of fine and ultra-fine tilters, elastic dtex, and polyester basis Dorlastan. The machines at Bayer are adjusted with regard to tension and speed, and requires regular maintenance, while a good running properties of the yarn is ensured by constant air conditioning of the seamless knitting department.
