摘要
Based on the virtual work principle and thin plate theory, the mechanical performance of the moving paper under gravity was analyzed by nonlinear FEM. Updated-Lagrangian model was presented and implemented in 2D FEM computer codes for computing of large deformation of the paper. Newton-Raphson iteration was employed to predict large displacements of the cantilever paper under gravity. It is shown that the proposed method is more accurate, efficient and close to the measurements in comparison with the corresponding 1D numerical predictions. The procedure is applicable for the nonlinear analysis of paper mechanical behaviors.
