摘要
A Finite Element algorithm for the simulation of cavitation in lubrication flows is presented. The dynamic cavitation model is based on the two-dimensional Reynolds' differential equation and coupled to a relation for vapor change due to bubble growth. The method is validated using a one-dimensional test case from literature and computed results of a two-dimensional lubrication flow are compared to the cavitation model by Kumar.
