Comb-branched waterborne polyurethane/polyacrylate (CWPU/PA) hybrid emulsions were prepared by interpenetrating polymerization net method. The factors which had effect on the properties of the films casted from the emulsion were discussed. Fourier transform infrared spectrum(FT-IR) results show that isobornyl acrylate monomer in colloidal particles is polymerized completely in polyisobornyl acrylate. The interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) of CWPU/PA should be responsible for the sharp reduction of adhesion. The mechanical property, thermal stability and heat-resistance of CWPU/PIA hybrids increase and the adhesion of CWPU/PIA hybrids decreases with increasing isobornyl acrylate(IBOA)content.
