摘要
Rotary power flow controller (RPFC) applied to power flow control has the advantages of simple control method, output without harmonics, high reliability and low costs, however, current study on the controller model and the control characteristics is not sufficient. For this reason, the steady state mathematical model is analyzed and established, then the steady state characteristics of RPFC are studied and the relationship between the RPFC's injected voltage and rotor angles is derived, and the power flow control characteristics of RPFC are analyzed. RPFC's injected voltage can be controlled with the rotor angles, and the line voltage magnitude and phase have different sensitivity ranges when RPFC is installed, therefore the active and reactive power regulation have different sensitivity regions, and RPFC can control power flow within a range of round area determined by the maximum ratio of voltage injected by RPFC. The accuracy of RPFC steady state model and steady state characteristics as well as the validity and flexibility of the power flow control with RPFC are verified with PSCAD/EMTDC simulation. ©, 2015, Power System Technology Press.
